Mango Bloom Adoption Agreement

This is a limited-period adoption of a tree's yield. It is not a sale: you do not own the tree or the land.

1. A limited-period adoption, not ownership. For each adopted tree, you receive a share in its yield for a limited period of fifteen adoption years (April to March), starting from the adoption year stated on your certificate, after which the adoption ends. You do not own your adopted tree. Adoption does not transfer ownership of the tree, the land, or any interest in either, at any time.
2. Tree assignment. Trees are assigned by Mango Bloom; adopters do not choose a tree. Your certificate is issued once payment, personalisation and tree assignment are all complete: a partial certificate with each payment, and a full certificate once fully paid.
3. Personalisation. The certificate name, dedication and tag line are given once, after payment, and cannot be changed afterwards.
4. Yield. Your share is a portion of the fruit your adopted tree actually bears in a recorded harvest. Yield depends on natural and seasonal conditions and is not guaranteed. A young tree usually first bears about three years after planting; that is a forecast, not a promise.
5. Payment. You pay either by the schedule of the plan chosen at adoption, or in full at any time; there are no other part payments. Nothing is auto-debited: instalments are paid when due, on reminder.
6. Staying paid up. The yield share applies while the adoption is paid up to date. An adoption in arrears does not share in that season's yield; clearing the balance restores the share.
7. No refunds. If an adoption is discontinued, its trees return to Mango Bloom and amounts already paid are not refundable.
8. Replacement. If a tree dies, a replacement tree may be assigned. Your tag number follows you to the replacement.
9. Updates and visits. Mango Bloom shares periodic photographs and updates of your adopted tree. Farm visits are by prior arrangement; visitors follow the farm's safety instructions and visit at their own risk.
10. Liability. Mango Bloom is not liable for crop failure or loss of a tree caused by weather, pest, disease or any other cause beyond its reasonable control. Its total liability under this agreement is limited to the amounts you have paid for the adoption concerned.
11. Indemnity. You indemnify Mango Bloom against loss caused by your breach of this agreement or by your conduct during a farm visit.
12. Notices. Receipts, certificates and notices are sent by email to the address on your account; please keep it current.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction. This agreement is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from it is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, Maharashtra.
